Issue in MA.
Constantly having my 5g home internet service dropping. I had ditched Comcast to save money and stay loyal to my cell provider in Verizon, also to have one bill and it's been nothing but nightmares. Lose service suddenly at least 2 times a week. Be watching tv or something and notice I have my connection drop. Low and behold everytime go check and the modem has no service cause the Verizon gateway lost service or something. End up having to unplug the gateway and let it reset itself. This is far from convenient since what will I do when I am out of town and nobody here to do it. I have cameras running off this wifi that need to be accessible.
Anyone have any ideas? I've yet to speak to anyone from customer service. I tried to find a way to put in a service inquiry online and none of the options were for home internet issues. So here I am. Is there anything I can get to boost the signal that the Verizon gateway is picking up? I already had to do a modem with satellite to boost signal half way thru the house. My gateway is close to window as it's going to get. On the coverage map it doesn't show any dead spots, yet even with just phone signal it's at 1-2 bars usually and on 5G.
I really wish Fios was available in my city but Comcast has the market here.

To get to Cusotmer Service, you may Contact Us: https://www.verizon.com/support/contact-us/ or if you are using the My Verizon mobile app, select More>Contact Us. With regard to your Home Internet, When did you start running into an issue with the signal dropping out? When this happens, can you let us know what you're seeing as far as your gateway?

I was able to get on chat with a service rep. They determined there was a connection issue linked to my gateway number. So a new unit is on it's way to me within a few days. Not exactly thrilled cause they said a price increase and when they gave me link to go confirm an order it dropped the chat. so no record of what they had told me in the chat about possible to get an refund once I get the new unit. Not sure who I return the old unit to so I am not charged for 2.
