Automatic Time Update has the wrong time zone

I have noticed that a previously resolved issue has resurfaced for me. The Automatic Time Update feature is placing me in the "Eastern Time" zone despite me being physically located in the "Central Time" zone.
I am not able to use the manual time zone option is it defaults to a December 31, 1969 date (after router reboot).
I have previously reported these two issues here in the community and they were resolved, but unfortunately I found today that it has returned.

This issue cannot effectively be resolved but it also should not be service impacting. Most client devices would not look to the router as a "time source", so the most significant impact should only be the timestamps being incorrect in the logs on the router.
I can live with that! 😁
Thanks @vzw_customer_support for your help discussing this issue.

We're sorry to hear about the issue with your time zone. After the router reboots, are you able to re-adjust the time if it's set to manual time zone?

Every single time it reboots (if on manual mode) then it reverts to December 31, 1969.
So, yes, theoretically I could manually set the date/time every single time I reboot the router. Or, Verizon can fix this network service so that it works properly.
This affected my previous Askey NCQ1338FA and my current WNC-CR200A routers. At some point in the past, the Verizon network was corrected and the automatic time zone functionality worked with the Askey.
