port forwarding is set to forward port 8080 to 192.168.0.123:8080 and it works locally, but not from public IP address. All ports are blocked according to grc.com port tests. DMZ had no effect either.
Many ISP's block incoming 80 and 8080 ports for different reasons (Usually to make you buy a business account).
Port forwarding and UPnP do work, I've verified it myself. But I have not done those ports (And have no need to).
So I would suggest trying a non-standard port if that's acceptable to what you are trying to do. You can connect FTP, HTTPS, most VPN etc on non-standard ports if it's in the URL.
Hello, sagetumbleweed. Please see the link below for the steps to manage the port forwarding and let us know of the outcome.

According to grc.com port tests, all ports are closed, except 2 service ports and a few in stealth mode.I don't think there's much I can do to the modem that will open those ports. - ping doesn't even work on my public ip.
Natash ~ I had already set up port forwarding. ALL ports are BLOCKED except 2 open sevice ports and a few stealth ports. I can not even ping my external IP address.
A port needs to be opened at a software level, and then turning on UPNP/Port forwarding for that port.
A remote port scan isn't going to cut it.
Good luck!
