Following up with this so everyone can see what I was told via call. I called Verizon today and was told that apparently the redemption timeline is no longer 65 days and is in fact 5-6 months.

I was lied to, and the tiles disappeared because they can no longer fulfill this promotion in the timeline they originally communicated.

I was told my request was escalated, but I will still have to wait over a month for a solution. Looks like I am going to start shopping for a new internet provider with a lower monthly cost and will likely not wait around for this promo to roll out. Classic example of a company writing checks that customers cannot cash. I also won't get a response to this, because they know its true!

Please be sure to clear cache and cookies, relaunch your My Verizon account as the tile should show available. Please keep us posted if you have any questions.

Run. Hours of phone calls and chats where each person assures me they will solve the problem but alas.

Same problem, after months of phone call and passed around through many customer service and technical support. Nothing. Now that they sent the email that I can redeem my promotion it doesnt work. Prompts an error. we were lied to. Verizon is frustrating and a h3ll hole to work with. Haven’t had a good experience this past 4 months with them. Made about 20 calls just to get passed around while explaining the same thing over and over again without resolving the issue.

I’m also having the same issue, on the phone for 2hrs and they are creating another “escalation form” what a joke. Verizon provided false advertising and will be taking legal action soon if this promotion doesn’t get resolved.

There is also no tile for the Target gift card.

I am currently at DAY 66 of the 5g home internet, works way better than my Att Uverse internet, so the service is great and have no complaints, but I would like my Nintendo switch and Target gift card as promised. Thanks for your time

I signed up for the home internet under the promo of getting a Nintendo switch and $200 target gift card. I contacted VZ on my eligibility date 5/17 and have not received the switch nor been able to redeem my gift card offer. What’s up? I contacted VZ bia Chat on 5/24 and they virtually “hung up” on me without resolution. I’m getting frustrated and that’s what they want, Just to forget about what they promised. I am not happy.

I get directed to Samsung Chromebook when I wanted target gift card. Was told I HAD to take Chromebook. When I enter code it doesn’t work.

I have this same issue, although I was able to redeem my $200 gift card so I should be receiving that in the next couple days. However my switch still says I can redeem it on 6/5 (todays date). Im unsure why one offer chagned to being able to be redeemed but the nintendo switch offer stayed the same and just takes me to a redeemable FAQs page. I spoke to customer service and they told me to just keep waiting 5-6 more days even though I am already on day 65. It makes no sense though because both offers were to be redeemable on the same day (6/5). Ive tried most solutions that I have seen on these community pages and nothing is doing the trick.

I see that I am not alone in facing this issue.

Verizon has wasted over five hours of my time, only to provide the same responses mentioned by others here. I am at my limit and will no longer tolerate this level of incompetence. Verizon has demonstrated a significant lack of integrity and gross negligence in handling this matter.

Additionally, I had to modify my original post, as discussing any current or potential legal actions is prohibited on this platform. Instead of providing assistance when they removed my post, they simply stated:

"Posts that discuss any litigation or potential litigation (past, present, future, or otherwise), or which offer legal advice or guidance are prohibited."

I have a pending callback scheduled with a supervisor this time. I will update this post with the result of that.

We’ve got the same issue. We started our service at the end of Feb of this year and still no $200 Target Gift Card!!! This is ridiculous and so not fair! Would call but after reading that you just get passed around/hung up on after 2+ hrs I’ll pass on that. Ugh.

I contacted the Verizon dispute center and the issue was resolved in 3 hours! I would suggest doing this as I did and you will be happy with the result.

I’m on my 5th or 6th chat with Verizon and everyone swears they will help me but every single person has escalated the problem and I still have no resolution! I am going to report them for it . No one wants to get it done for me and I’m so done!

I’m having the same issue I’ve been emailed multiple times to redeem my Nintendo switch and either the tile is t there and the one time it was it just said error when I clicked it and when I went back it was gone

I think I’m going to, as well. They also made the phrase b a i t & s w i t c h one of their “bad words” so clearly there are a lot of people feeling this way from their promotion. I just talked to a customer service rep again and they said try again in 3-5 days… how is that helpful? If we were told 65 days, why wouldn’t we be able to use it when we receive the email that tells us to redeem now.

Same issue for me. Customer service is of no help. They each respond with a different reason of why it doesn’t work. They also start every conversation with don’t worry, I will resolve your issue and literally do nothing… I guess as a company they were never taught under sell over deliver.

Yeah, sure. This has to be an automated response. Why even have Verizon customer service responses in this forum. None of you do anything to resolve issues.

Same. I am debating leaving for A T & T. They offered me 3 free iPhone 15 pro phone lines and internet for $150 at Costco today. Anything has to be better than Verizon customer service.

Really? I have been in 3 different convos with 3 different customer service reps and they all tell me something different as to why the redemption tile isn’t working.

This is so deep rooted. I finally got my fedex tracking link for my Nintendo switch. It took hours on chat with customer service and a couple threats. I told them I would keep spamming all of their social media home internet ads to explain my experience until I got a tracking link for my Switch. This was a couple hours ago today, and now they have removed all of their home internet ads from Facebook. So crazy!

I just got off the phone with customer service and they told me they were going to put in a troubleshooting ticket. For some reason, I don't think they are taking this seriously at all. I've seen thousands of posts on this site and Reddit all saying the same exact thing from over a year ago. They clearly don't care to resolve this ongoing issue. I was promised something by Verizon and they are responsible for delivering on said promise. This was the whole reason I switched from my previous provider.

I think you're absolutely right.

You would think since so many people are having trouble with the links, they would fix the links... but no. They just send us useless private messages and automated replies. And the people on the phone, even if they wanted to help, have no ability to do so.

Seems like they have no intention of honoring the offer.

I am now talking to a third representative. I will keep calling and calling until this is resolved. I received their automated emails and messages as well. Just do not give up and hassle them until they give us what we were promised. I really feel that they have no intentions on resolving this or honoring their end of the deal. I have received three separate responses to this is issue from 3 different reps. I was told they're out of stock, the server crashed or they no longer have that promotion. Verizon owes us some answers and i will not stop hassling them until I get one.

Its a very easy remedy. Just add the amount to our accounts that is needed to cover the cost. We can then go to their accessory shop and purchase it directly, instead of waiting for them to solve this issue. They can even make it to where the amount is only applicable towards the purchase of the Nintendo Switch. The gift cards are a separate issue since they use a third party for those.

Just to keep everyone updated. Just got my 4th different reason as to why I am unable to redeem my offer. The bill must be in good standing for 65 days (which apparently is today) and on the 66th day I can redeem the offer since their system will then be updated......even though I received the email already to redeem the offer. If that makes any sense. Continuing to get the run-around it seem. Verizon has no intention on keeping their word, that much has become abundantly clear.

Another update, I have filed a complaint with the FCC and sent Verizon a Notice of Dispute. Of course, these can take days to hear anything back, so I will keep this updated as the steps progress. I also received my 5th different reason this morning as to why I still cant redeem the offer, which was the system hasn't recognized my offer yet.....? Verizon has a long history of this kind of predatory behavior, from what I have researched.

FirstOdin420, we want to make sure that you're able to redeem the promotions you're expecting. Could you please tell us more about what happens when you try to redeem the offer through your My Verizon account? To clarify, are you able to see the tile on your account when you sign into My Verizon?

I am having a similar problem, I have the tile but when I select the nintendo switch and accept the terms and conditions I get this message "We're sorry. There was an error when adding this Nintendo Switch or $200 The Home Depot Gift Card promotion to your verizon account. Please try again later". I have tried it on the app and website and have cleared my browsing data. I would appreciate if this could be resolved.

Today my 3rd escalation ticket was put in for me to be able to redeem my Nintendo switch after the first 2 failed I was told I would be given a promo code in 24-48 hours to buy the switch from the website for 100% discount after not receiving the promo code I called again for the 4th time and was told an order was already placed and the Nintendo switch would be coming. After never receiving a confirmation email with an order number or shipping number I messaged an agent today to check the status and was told no order was placed and the promo code was denied. Instead now I must wait another week for a 3rd ticket. I feel like verizon has no intention on following through with they're promise and I'm never going to get my Nintendo switch. If this is not resolved in a week I am going to start looking for a different provider.
