Early termination fee

localwallflower

Hello. I purchased my Verizon Home Internet on Cyber Monday. I have successfully redeemed the Amazon gift card and Xbox, however, I have had no luck with the link that was provided to submit my bill credit for early termination fees from my old provider. Several of the boxes are grayed out so they canโ€™t be edited. Further, it is saying that I cannot upload a copy of the bill despite it being within the required specifications (itโ€™s in PDF format and smaller than size limitations). Can someone please assist with this?

Hello, localwallflower. Help is here! Thank you for being our customer and we can assist with your questions on getting a credit the early termination fee for your previous provider. To qualify, the following must be satisfied:

  • Have been charged an early termination fee within 30 days before and 90 days after your Verizon 5G Home Internet setup.

f you're eligible for a bill credit, you must submit your request within 90 days of your Verizon 5G Home Internet setup. Here's how to get a bill credit for your previous provider's early termination fee:

  1. Go to the 5G Home Internet bill credit page.
  2. Upload a full copy of the final bill from your previous provider:
    • Clearly show your full name, address and ETF amount.
    • The name or address on your Verizon 5G Home account must match the name or address of the prior provider's bill.
    • The date on the submitted bill must be no earlier than 30 days prior to or 90 days after activation of 5G Home Internet.
    • The final bill must show an early termination fee. If the fee isn't displayed, contact your previous provider

Please see the link below, reference,

โ€ƒHello. I understand the process that you outlined. My issue is that the bill credit form does not work. It will not allow me to input my information, nor upload the document. Iโ€™ve tried to do so on my phone and computer, with no luck. The document is within the requirements as a pdf form and within proper size - the link just is not working.

The 5g Home Internet Credit page is not working. I first tried to access it on my phone. I then tried it on my computer with the Explorer browser and Google Chrome, and the page is still not working. I tried to call the customer but wasn't very lucky with that as well. I can't access this buyout form for the life of me. When I switched back to Verizon, I was told that Verizon would pay the early termination fee from the provider I had. Still, I can't even access the form that I must complete in order for Verizon to pay the early termination fee. I'm getting very frustrated ๐Ÿ˜ฉand don't know what else to do. I don't want this bill to go to a bill collector and ruin my credit anymore than it is now. In September, I had no choice but to cancel my home internet with Verizon because I was told that the new address I moved to wasn't in their coverage. So, I canceled the home internet and kept my phone plans. I then switched my internet plan with Frontier. Then, a month later, at the end of October, a customer representative came to my house and informed me that Verizon just established home internet in the area and asked if I wanted to set up services. I explained to her everything that happened, and she assured me that if I switched  my home internet back to Verizon, that Verizon would pay the early termination fee, but now I can't even access the form, and I'm beyond upset with this whole ordeal๐Ÿ˜ซ

I know how important this promotion is, and I am glad to hear that Verizon Home Internet became available in your area after you moved, overkill1990. I would be happy to help with this, since the web portal seems to not be working. I'll need account access to assist, so please be on the lookout for a private message from me.

Hello, it's February 2025 and the Verizon page discussed in this post still does not work. Perhaps they fixed it once back when you all brought it up and it broke again...or perhaps it's been broken this whole time. Either way, it does not work.

localwallflower, thank you for the information, we appreciate your efforts. Please tell us, what browser are you using on your phone and PC when you attempt to submit the form? Do you experience the same issues when using incognito mode or a different browser?

I am having the exact same issue. I click on the link in the email, and I am unable to enter my name, etc.  It does allow me to enter the amount and name of the internet provider, but when I try to upload my bill, I get an error message "unable to upload file. Please try again later." I have been trying to do this since December, and nobody seems to be able to help. I'm afraid I'm going to lose my 90 day window. Please help!

I am also having the same problem with the Verizon Home Internet early termination bill credit promotion.  I have had no luck with the link that was provided to submit my bill credit for early termination fees from my old provider.  Several of the boxes are grayed out so they canโ€™t be edited and I am not able to upload the bill and submit the form.   I have called customer service and was informed that a ticket was submitted but as of now it still has not been corrected.  Very frustrating.
