I have a Verizon Gateway 1100 Router on hardware 11.0.3 and firmware 02.03.00.14. I have had it for a while now with no changes. I work from home so every morning I connect to my company's VPN server to gain access to their network. This was working fine for the past three years. As of this morning, March 15th, 2024, all of my Fios services are working (I can even reach the Internet), except I cannot connect or reach my company's vpn server if going through my router. I can connect to it if I use my phone (with celluar data only). But if I use wifi on my phone connected to my router it also can not connect to the VPN server. Anytime I am using my Verizon g1100 router VPN fails.
I spoke to Verizon and they told me a firmware update was pushed out to the g1100 and 3100 routers last night and that apparently broke VPN for hundreds of users. They have been fielding calls all this morning. They stated that a fix would be in place in 24 to 48 business hours. They promised me a call back on Wednesday (March 20th, 2024) with an update.
Does Verizon not test their firmware updates? VPN is a pretty major test scenario.
If this is truly a firmware issue, why doesn't Verizon just rollback the firmware update, fix it, and then re-roll it back out. I now have to miss 4 days or work because Verizon is trying to fix it on the fly instead of rolling back?
Anyone else having this issue that is reading this?

The FIOS pages are https://community.verizon.com/t5/Fios/ct-p/home
I would recommend finding your IP address of your work VPN (Should be easy to figure out or ask their support) and run a traceroute to it. That usually solves most issues.
