My Account Number: *** ***
On 11/06/2023 I visited the Verizon retail location in Altamonte Springs, FL to change my cell carrier from AT&T to Verizon under a promotion for the new iPhone 14. Verizon promised to give a $200 gift card for each phone that was ported over from AT&T. I ported 3 phones to Verizon under my account and necessarily, expected 3 Gift Cards for $200 each ($600 total).
Since that time, I have received 7 Emails from Verizon Wireless saying it’s time to redeem my rebates but none of the links in the emails worked. Either the email links crashed or I was sent links with Gift Card Numbers and Passwords, none of which worked. All results showed a ZER0 (0) balance.
I have received 3 bills since converting to Verizon, the first of which contained 3 correct phone numbers that were ported over plus 2 phone numbers that were not related to my account. I contacted Customer Service to have the unrelated phone numbers removed and the charges reversed. The customer service rep sent me an email promising to refund me $200 for the over-billing (I can send you a copy). The 2 unrelated phone numbers were removed but I did not receive the refund. Notwithstanding, I have paid 3 monthly invoices since this time because I did not want my service disconnected.
Since that I have contacted customer service twice only to be promised a solution with no results. Verizon Customer Service agents do not seem to have any authority whatsoever to fix problems while the customer is on the phone with them. While their intentions may be honorable, I only receive empty promises.
I have visited your retail location in Winter Park, Florida on 2 occasions and your Verizon agents spoke with 2 Customer Service agents with promises to resolve the Gift Card problems but these promises have had no results. All told I have probably spent over 4 hours of my time trying to get this problem resolved. Between Customer Service phone call and trips to your Retail locations, there seems to be a serious disconnect over the Gift Card issues as represented in the number of people who have had similar problems documented on the Verizon consumer forum.
I have received 2 emails with Rebate Numbers and Pins, neither of which work. They both show a ZERO (0) balance. These were communicated to your agents at your retail office in Winter Park, FL. 32789 and Customer Service again failed to solve the problems
Is there someone who can provide a solution to this privately before I have to resolve this through other means?
Thank you.
I can be contacted at my cell phone or the email address connected to the subject account number.
