So the promo became available to me on the 8th of this month. When i went to redeem it didnt work, the page was an error page. I contacted Verizon and submitted a ticket and the agent did an escalated ticket, i was told they would call me in a few days NO RESPONSE. I just contacted them again and the agent did another escalated ticket and i was again told by the agent it would be 3 to 5 days and they would call me. If after 5 days I do not get a phone call or response email, and this issue is not resolved with shipping confirmation i will be filing legal action against them for this. 

 

When a a company like this is so quick to offer all these things to customers and not follow through but will take action against me if i dont pay my bill on time then they need to be held accountable for the things that they promise. I have the screen shots of the agent telling me i qualify for it and that its still an offer that is up and running etc. I will not play with them, don

t send your sales reps randomly to peoples houses and tell them about these things and not do what you say your going to do.

I have run into a similar issue. Mine was redeemable on the 10th the tiles disappeared so I called in and they did an escalation ticket, but they did say it may take up to 3-5 business days. I think we will both be alright. Many other comments on these forums people are having the same issue, and they have a team working on a fix for it since so many people have run into this. I hope this puts your mind at ease.

like i just told them this is wrong i keep getting connected to agents who i have to keep explaining what the issue is for them all to tell me the same thing wait 5-7 days. (7 days will be wed.) i have a feeling that it will be the same thing then too. the fact that they sell these devices is what makes it wrong. they can go into the system and send them to us if they wanted to and deal with the issue on the back end instead of making us deal with it when it is their issue. So on advice of my lawyer i will wait the 7 days and then we will file. I am not taking this as i have already spent too much money with this company to allow them to use click bait to get and keep customers.

I became eligible for the Switch or $200 Home Depot gift card promotion today.  

I am able to see the offer in my "Make the most of your plans" section. When I select โ€œYour home offer is ready. Redeem by 9.13.โ€ it takes me to a screen that says โ€œSelect your offerโ€ that has a Nintendo Switch and a $200 Home Depot Gift Card.

When I click โ€œSelectโ€ on the Nintendo Switch, it gives me terms and conditions and then I click on โ€œI accept the Terms & Conditionsโ€ and then click โ€œGot it,โ€ it says:

โ€œWe're sorry. There was an error when adding this Nintendo Switch or $200 The Home Depot Gift Card promotion to your Verizon account.โ€

The response I'm getting is that I can start a ticked that will take up to 4 weeks to hear back about initially. After reading your post, this tells me that Verizon has done nothing to resolve these issues in two full months with a known issue.

Hello, I had the same exact issue. It took 5 different customer service chats and blowing up/spamming a Facebook Verizon Ad about internet in order to get a solution. I think I wasted a total of 6-7 hours of my weekend trying to get a solution. The 5th rep who was a social media rep ordered one for me. I will believe when I have it in my hands. I have read that people get to that point with a customer service rep after they realize you wonโ€™t stop, so they tell you they ordered, you receive an email to say it was ordered, but then it never actually shows up. The rep โ€œorderedโ€ mine yesterday because my redemption tile didnโ€™t work either (same exact scenario and enrollment window). But it hasnโ€™t shipped yet, I am very much holding my breath even though I shouldnโ€™t. Iโ€™ll update you if I actually receive it. I also contacted my local news station AZ On Your Side segment. Itโ€™s not right what they are promising to customers in order to gain their business and then make their customers beg for it 65 days later until theyโ€™ve wasted their precious time. B a i t & s w i t ch is a popular accusation for Verizon if you search it in your browser. If you like through the community forum by searching search words like promo, Nintendo or gift card youโ€™ll see hundreds of ppl experiencing the same thing with many people commenting the same sentiments under each post. Itโ€™s crazy how unchecked and large scale this is.
