on Wednesday 1/31/24 i upgraded from 100/100 internet to 300/300. the router was mounted in the garage barely 20 feet from my living room and an extender was placed in my apartment living room. since that Wednesday both my Ps5 and Ps4 cannot find an internet connection upon Initial Start Up - from either rest mode OR full shut down. both systems are full Cat5 cable wired, these SAME wires have been connected to the old router for over 6 years WITHOUT issue. now once i upgraded my systems are having trouble finding an internet connection even though they are WIRED directly to the extender???!!! the best thing i have noticed is that after initial start up.... if i wait approxomitely 15-30 seconds both playstation systems then find an internet connection and fully connect.
WHY is there a 15-30 second delay when there was NO delay for the prior 6 years? I have an upgraded Router and Faster internet speed yet a connection cannot be found!!?! no settings on either playstation system have been changed at all.
is there anyone who has had this issue? or can direct me to a solution? I've spent days troubleshooting with no luck of any solution. this isssue is painfully infuriating especially after upgrading and then having issues.
All other devices (phone & laptop) are connected to WiFi with no such issues in connectivity.
thank you community for any response,
Anthony

My connection keep failing. Literally every other device works fine but my PS5 won’t work wired or not. It did, for like half of a day. THE 5G home internet keeps dropping only on my console. I even had my router below my PS5 both wired and not wired and it doesn’t work. It’s bogus. At least the employee got commission I guess. And it seem Verizon doesn’t care as there nothing anywhere from Verizon on how to fix this nor have you gotten a response here in the two weeks it’s been here.

hey there, EEJDad, sorry to hear you're running into some trouble when trying to play games on your PS5! Have you ever been able to use your 5G Home network for gaming? Are your speeds working well for you otherwise? Can you let us know what plan you are using?

Hello I had to change out my Asus router for the Fios one and now I cannot connect to the PSN. Is there a setting on the Fios router that blocks the PSN?
