Reclaiming 192.168.1.2 through 192.168.1.150 Address Space on Verizon 5G Internet Gateway (ASK-NCM1100) for DHCP

Third_Grade_Teacher

Hello!

New 5G Home Internet customer here!  I was planning to keep my IP addressing plan that I've been using for ages with my cable router as I migrate to Verizon 5G Home Internet on an ASK-MCN1100 internet gateway. So far, the gateway has been functioning well and has been reasonably-intuitive to custom configure without too many visits to the user's guide. 😊 Unfortunately, when I went to configure my desired DHCP address range, which is 192.168.1.100 through 192.168.1.150, a pop-up window appeared stating that the IP addresses in the range 192.168.1.2 through 192.168.1.150 are reserved for Verizon Fios. As I am not a Verizon Fios customer, this range does not need to be reserved for this purpose on my gateway. Now, to my question...

Is it possible to reclaim the reserved IP addresses for use in my DHCP address range? In other words, is there a hidden configuration setting where I can disable the address reservation so I can implement my own address scheme?

Thank you,

Third_Grade_Teacher

P.S. If anyone knows the purpose of the USB-C port on the back of the ASK-NCM1100, I'd be very grateful for information including a source for same. The user's guide doesn't say a thing about that port and the labeled picture of the back of the ASK-NCM1100 on page six of the 150-page user's guide conspicuously ignores the port entirely.

Thank you for your inquiries, Third_Grade_Teacher! All of our devices on the cellular network have a dynamic ip address for security purposes and we do not offer the ability to reserve any ip address. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns about our 5G Home Service and we'd be more than happy to assist.
