Calling tech support is a absolute nightmare when it comes to Home internet.

I jumped on Verizon's Home internet as soon as it was available in my area .  I have had it for over a year now. I needed to get a wireless extender and that is where the problems began. Each time I call or chat i will get different answers.  I was told that my original ARC-XCI55AX would not work with the E3200 extender that they  sent to me. I was then sent a WNC-CR200A. I still could not connect the E3200. I called support again, this time I was told the I needed the ARC-XCI55AX (which I just sent back). Support then set up another line with the different ARC-XCI55AX router (different phone number). Now I had 2 services. I had to call again because I still was having problems connecting. Once support got it working  I noticed that the best it would do is 150 mb, It use to do 300. He told me that it was because Verizon  changed their plans and I lost speed because the new XCI55AX fell under the new plan. I then asked to be upgraded to 1g and was told I had to be a Home internet user for 3 years which I was only one for a little over 1 year but a Verizon member for over 8 years. So for an additional $15 I could be upgraded back to 300 mb but cannot get 1g for 2 more years.  Overall I believe I have over 12 hours getting to this point. I told support all this which is supposably in his notes That I was very unhappy and I would be leaving Verizon Home Internet because of poor tech support. There was no more he could do except give me a one time credit of $15. While he was trying to apologize for something that he had no control over because Verizon does not know how to fix issues that was caused by other techs. I went online and ordered my home internet with another provider for the same cost for 3 years and would get 1 g service now. Perhaps in 3 years Verizon may learn how to handle Home internet but for now I will NOT suggest to anyone to go down the Verizon road it is not worth the hassle.  I have much more on this adventure but what's the point the Verizon support is the worst. They have a long way to go.
