Slow internet speeds at night

I have read several posts about people getting very slow speeds during the evening. My internet worked great from April 2024 until July 7, 2024. During the day my speeds can be 300+. But at night, I can't even stream a program on Peacock or Hulu. I have made very many phone calls to tech support and they can't give me any good answers. They blame it on poor signal. That is a poor excuse since during the day my speeds are 300+. Has anyone else gotten this issue resolved? If so how? If I can't get some good answers and get this fixed, a 12 year Verizon customer will be moving all our services elsewhere.

I had this issue for 6+ months.  Variable poor download btw 5pm to 11pm.   Escalated 4 times so far and no solution.  each time will be talked and checked through same script.  No improvement and then close the support ticket.

Things done during trouble shooting:

โ€˜move the modem for different tower,  reboot, change to a new modem.   Each day, DL speed will increase and decrease without changing the setup.

Drop from 300 to 10-20.   Recovered at midnight everyday.

One last point, the private message sent by tech support is not helpful.   Just another way to not air dirty laundry.

verizon home 5g is Likely limited to bandwidth issue in the evening in my residential area.   The tech support has no solution and just drag out the issue or pretend to escalate.

What router are you using?
What is your signal strength on the router status page when you are having difficulty at night?

The first router I was using was the ARC-XC155AX. Verizon decided to replace it with the WNC-CR200A. I still have the same problem.

Radio signals on the ARC-155 were: 4G between -87 and -91. 5G were between -104 to -11.

Radio signals on the WNC-200A are: 4G a steady -97. 5G are between -111 to -116.

I think the radio in the ARC router is better as it has better numbers. I also got better peak speeds during the day. My daytime speeds are between 75 to 250 MBS on the CR200A and start dropping off at about 6 pm and finally go down to less than 1 MBS by 9 pm. I can't even stream a movie on Peacock by then. The ARC-155 had daytime speeds of 85-350 MBS during the day and it too would start slowing down about 6 pm and by 9 pm, it was down to 1-2 MBS. This all started on July 7th. From April when I started my service until July 7, my speeds were acceptable. I think the issue is that the tower is now overloaded with users and can't handle the evening traffic.

I have the ARC router as well.   Donโ€™t remember the previous router.   Similar kind of speed drop.   Started in Jan

This is 5G wireless home internet. I am of the opinion that this is not a signal issue from the towers but a bandwidth issue feeding the towers
