I have a Roku TV model 28S305. Recently I have experienced problems streaming content from "ABC 7 BAY AREA"
1. Frequent buffering
2. Occasional loss of signal.
Even though this is the only channel that I am having problems with, the problems are so frequent that I cannot help but wonder if I need to change a setting on my gateway. I should note that I do think that some of this problem is due to BUFFERING.
JUST AS A SIDE-NOTE, I CANNOT COUNT THE NUMBER OF TIMES THAT I HAVE LOST THE SIGNAL OF THIS CHANNEL IN THE TIME THAT IT HAS TAKEN ME TO WRITE THIS MESSAGE. Since I had some spare Ethernet cables I decided to try replacing the Ethernet cable that I was using, And that seemed to make a slight difference as the problems do not occur as often BUT THEY STILL DO EXIST.

Happy Thursday! We know the importance of managing your TV Streaming services, especially if you are encountering buffering and signal loss issues. We are here to help.
We want to be on the same page of the book, to avoid getting lost in the story. The labels indicated you are referencing 5G Home, is this regarding your FiOs account or Verizon Wireless service?

Hello and thanks for the help. To stream TV programs from any channel I use my Verizon 5G Home Internet service. All of the other TV channels that I have streamed including channels from YouTube TV stream just fine. However, the channel that I am having problems with IS NOT part of the YouTube TV lineup. As I said in my previous message, the channel is ABC 7 Bay Area. I do not use this channel that often, But I find that when I do use it, I experience either constant buffering OR almost constant signal loss. As I mentioned in my previous message, I have already tried swapping my RJ45 cables with another spare RJ45 cable that I had. That seemed to help a little bit BUT NOT MUCH.
Do I need to change any settings in my Gateway?, OR should changing cables solve the problem?.

Hello. I just wanted to provide an update on my current issue.
When the issue first began I was experiencing almost endless periods of Buffering and Signal Loss.
When I checked things the other day, the issues still persisted. I will check to see if the issues are still persisting later today. After I have had time to check to see if the issues are still present or not then I will be sure to let you know.
I do realize that there may be nothing that Me or Verizon can do about this, In fact I really do not think that the Verizon network is to blame for this issue. I think that it is either the station themselves OR it is some sort of interference.

OK I have had ABC 7 BAYAREA on for practically the entire day to see how the signal is. And I have not had too many issues with Buffering OR Signal loss. I have noticed however, that they do tend to cut away from whatever program they are airing at some pretty odd times to go to a commercial break, and occasionally they will cut away from the last few minutes of one program only to air another program. Well I guess it is a good thing that I do not use ABC 7 BAYAREA that much. I only use it when I have to.
