Good afternoon, I am experiencing issues with my new gateway's ping after switching from my old gateway following a thunderstorm. The download speeds and upload speeds are the same for the old gateway, but I went from having roughly 40ping consistently to now having 150 ping constantly. It does not fluctuate. I assume that this is on the Verizon side. When I do a speed test, it auto-grabs servers in California instead of Florida, where I live. For reference, when I manually use Florida Servers, the ping jumps and stays at 150. This is accurate, as when I use Microsoft Teams or Zoom, it shows my ping around 150. This has made video calls almost impossible. When I run the speed test and it grabs California Servers I have a ping of 100. Funny enough, if I try using a VPN, it also auto-grabs servers in California instead of Miami, which should be the fastest server location-wise.
