Verizon internet equipment

I have a big issue. I sent the home internet equipment on 24 February 2024, and now Verizon want charge me for 500$.
I have tracking number from UPS store, where I dropped it off. I called to customer service 5 times. The interesting thing is someone of them couldn’t find the equipment, some of them found it. Everyone told me that the bill will change about 3-5 days, but nothing. I call again and again. What should I do. I’m exhausted. I don’t want to pay this, if I don’t have it.
