I signed up for transferring my internet service to Verizon while they had a promotion offering the $200 Target gift card or a Google Chromebook AND a Nintendo Switch. I was told to call back to claim the items after 30 days of my new internet service that I signed up for.
I called back on the date and at the number that I was given and now Verizon claims the offer was only a gift card or Chrome. And after two more calls to them asking them to listen to the recording of my conversation with the sales person, they claim they can't or won't , that is unclear, yet they now claim that the deal was a gift card OR a Nintendo Switch.
I see on this site that there are numerous people who signed up for the same deal as I did and are experiencing the same problem with Verizon failing to follow thru with their promises. I believe this is bad faith business practices.

Hi Cheryl007, we're sorry to hear there have been so many issues around your promotion. As consumers ourselves we understand wanting the best deals. The Target Promotion and the Nintendo Promotion did not run full in tandem, so we can help clear up details, what was the date of the order?

Incorrect, they did run in tandem I read it over and over the as it stated there were TWO offers, both of which were switch or a gift card, AND Chromebook or a gift card. Upon signing up the rep asked if I wanted the Chromebook or the gift card. Told him Chromebook and never seen anything about it after that. He then said I would be able to redeem the switch at a later time.. here I am trying to get this sorted and it seems like it was just a big sc aammm to get people in the more I look into it… and nobody from over the phone or at the store in person wants to help, they just keep blaming each other ….

We are sorry to read that you've been having issues with redeeming your promotion, as we want to make sure that you don't miss out on this great deal. To clarify, did you already submit the redemption for your promotion? Do you have a submission number?

AWB1979, that's something we can look at. There were a few different offers, and which one you might qualify for depends on a few things. First, roughly when did you make your purchase? Second, what did you purchase to qualify (was it a Verizon Home Internet device (5G or LTE) or was it getting FiOS Residental wired/fiber service)? That will narrow down what offer, and what the options were.

I ordered home internet on 3/31. That last day of the offer I believe. My confirmation email also lists both the gift card and switch. It states that I had to wait 65 days to redeem. I have the gift card but no one will help me redeem the switch.

Thank you for those additional details. When was your home internet service activated? The 65 day waiting period is based on having eligible and active service for that timeframe. We are aware that there was a known issue with the redemption process. We recommend trying the steps listed using the link below. Please let us know if those steps are successful for you.

I activated the service on 4/6 I believe. Well over 65 days. The “redeem” tile shows up on MyVerizon, but it’s a dead link. It takes me to a generic faq site.
