I moved into my parents' house. Recently, a Verizon tech installed the G3100. My smartphone lists SETUP as one of the wireless access points (henceforth, WAP). SETUP wasn't listed on my smartphone as a WAP until after the G3100 was installed.
Ever since the tech installed the G3100, it has frequently disconnected from the internet. When I watch a YouTube video, the video buffers. We didn't have any disconnect problems until after the G3100 was installed.
During the course of my research on the G3100, I saw the phrase "G3100 WiFi mesh". As far as I know, it's not set up as a WiFi mesh but a regular WAP. What is the SETUP WAP? Could it be causing the internet disconnects & video buffering?
I'm not network savvy. I don't understand the networking mumbo jumbo. So, if you need to use networking mumbo jumbo, please explain it like networking for dummies.
