After months of trying to get my stupid $200 Amazon gift card for signing up for home internet as promised by Verizon, and spending hours on the chat and phone, receiving several promises the issues of getting my getting the card were resolved, I finally spoke to an agent yesterday, May 14, 2025 for 30 minutes. She assured me, by the end of the call that I would get the Amazon card in 24 hours. Also, that she would call me back in 24 hours to ensure I received the card. She also told me that since I have had so many problems (including when they initially added the line to add my home internet, they DELETED my cell phone line and I had to spend FOUR HOURS on chat through my laptop at a neighbor's house to get my phone line back which was a nightmare!!!!) that she would get me a $50 credit to my account for all the trouble. It has been well over 24 hours - no card, no phone call. I call customer service today, May 15, 2025. First person seems helpful, puts me on hold to contact the rebate center, suddenly a brand new person answers with no prior info about my issue. I start all over. That person's attitude was that I was wrong and too bad and was completely unhelpful and just told me I wasn't going to get the card. I demand to get escalated. Third person seems helpful. Says I can't have the Amazon card because the promotion wasn't happening when I signed up for internet (NOT TRUE!!!!!) how would I make up seeing a promotion that didn't exist - the deal was you get netflix, max and an Amazon card. I also ask him about the $50 credit. He reads me word-for-word the transcript from yesterday's call. The woman has entered NOTHING in my record about the 24-hour receipt of the card, or the follow up phone call, or the $50 credit! It simply says I called to follow up on the Amazon Gift Card. I gues she was just sitting at her desk eating chips and thinking, "I'm going to have fun and completely LIE to this woman and have a little fun." What is going on over there???? Today's agent says I can not get the Amazon card. I can get a Verizon $200 gift card. whatever. I'm so livid at this point, I just want it to be over. I'm sick of talking to Verizon customer service agents, each with their own made up rules. He says I have to wait til June 7, 60 days after I signed up for home internet, to get the Verizon card (mind you, I signed up for home internet in early February, it has already been 90 days). If i don't get the Verizon gift card on June 7th, I don't even know what to do. The woman yesterday, May 14th, that I spoke to, should be fired. Everyone else was erroneous in their info, but she flat out lied. I've been a customer for almost 12 years. I know Verizon could care less if they lose one customer, but i have to shop around for a new service. If Verizon doesn't want to give gift cards, then just don't offer them, or figure it out. The most annoying thing is after all this, the home internet is awful and goes in and out all day long.

They told me I would get a Veteran discount for signing up for the 5G Home Internet but if you look online it says only wireless and Fios are eligible.
But i feel your pain, I'm about to cancel my service and go back to ATT Air.

Still being lied to by every Verizon agent who promises me my gift card will be delivered. It has now been 4 months since i signed up for home internet and have been trying to get my PROMISED $200 Amazon gift card. I have probably spoken with 25 customer service agents. All have been horrid. Lied. None have resolved the issue even though swearing it has been resolved. Half the time I feel like they tell me they are giving me to their supervisor and just hand the phone to a friend who makes up a bunch of stuff. Been told TWICE Verizon would call me back to confirm issue was resovled. No one calls. It is not resolved. I am so mad at this point at how horrid customer serivce has been and that i was lied to originally, about a promotion that Verizon never intended to fulfull, and by every single customer service agent. Why doesn't Verizon care at all?
