Call dialing issue

I have a Galaxy S23 plus with Verizon. I noticed a problem when calling someone using the stock phone app on my phone. Sometimes when I call someone using the phone app, the dialing cuts off instantly, even before the first ring. Then the screen goes back to the dial pad. Once it happens, no matter how many times I redial or dial different numbers, the dialing process cuts off and goes back to the dial pad. Basically the phone doesn't dial any number. This happens whether I am on WiFi or not. This is different from a call drop which usually happens while we are talking to someone after connection. The only solution I found is to reboot the phone when it happens and it works fine for a week to ten days before it does again. I cleared the phone app cache, reset network settings and even did a complete factory data reset. But the problem continue to persist. My android software is up to date. Then I noticed it is doing the same with another Galaxy S23 plus phone and Galaxy S21 FE phones on my Verizon account. I initially thought this could be a Samsung issue but they didn't find any issue with the devices, after I sent them the log files. Now I beginning to suspect it could be a Verizon network issue. Did anyone come across this kind of problem? Please advise.

This thread I found is old, but the last post in it may help. On newer phones the network setting in question should say something like "CDMA/GSM/4G/NR" now to reflect current wireless technology.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Unfortunately those network settings are not there anymore for the newer phones. I have a Galaxy S23 plus. Network settings are pretty much in Auto.

I depend on my phone on a daily basis, so I know how important it is to make sure your calls are always working. When did this problem start? Is this happening at all locations?

The problem was there for several months. It happens whether I am connected to home wifi or not, on the road, with public wifi or friends home wifi. Until I reboot the phone, it will be there once it starts doing it.
Went to the nearby Verizon store and replaced the SIM couple of days back. Waiting to see if it solved the problem.
