Conditional Call Forwarding No Longer Working

I have Google Voice calls forwarded to a Verizon cell phone (previously AT&T). We had conditional call forwarding set up and working on the AT&T cell phone, and again when we switched to Verizon several weeks ago. As of today, we discovered that the Verizon conditional call forwarding is no longer working.

We have turned off/re-enabled conditional call forwarding multiple times and to multiple numbers (Google Voice and regular cell phone lines). We confirmed that total call forwarding works. We are using *71 for conditional, *72 for total, and *73 to reset.

We've reported it through the Voice app, and raised an issue on the Google Voice support forums. Hoping someone has some ideas here.

The Google Voice line is a health care provider line--calls need to be forwarded back to the provider voicemail.

I found a note on another community space stating that the iPhone Live Voicemail feature is what has disabled the conditional call forwarding.  If this Live Voicemail feature is on, CCF does not work.  If you turn off the Live Voicemail feature, CCF via *71 will work again.  I tested successfully with my iPhone 14 pro.

Hi Jbourne71, we understand the importance of your calls being routed correctly. As you are initiating the call forwarding with Google Voice you would need to connect with Google Support about routing. Thank you for your understanding.

Incorrect. I am initiating CCF with Verizon and forwarding to Google Voice. I have already isolated the problem to the Verizon network with Google Support.

I have been having the same issue.  I spent 4 hours on the phone with Verizon a few weeks ago and they assured me it was resolved, but it wasn't.  I kept getting disconnected from their upper level support and finally gave up.   At one point they had me reset my network settings and assured me I would not lose all my wifi passwords.  Guess what, I did lose all my wifi and bluetooth connections.  What a pain.

I really need conditional forwarding to work.  All calls (total) forwarding works, but if I miss a call or ignore a call it goes to voicemail.

Conditional forwarding worked for about 11 years for this phone number, I used it every day, but sometime in April or May it stopped and apparently Verizon can't even fix it.

We do not want you to miss important calls jferg2022.  Let's investigate why it is not working now. Just a refresher for both of us:

Verizon's Conditional Call Forwarding, also known as the No Answer/Busy Transfer feature, forwards calls to another phone when your phone is busy or you don't answer after a few rings. You can set up Conditional Call Forwarding using your Verizon cell phone's keypad by dialing *71, entering the 10-digit number to forward calls to, and then pressing Call. You can also activate Conditional Call Forwarding through My Verizon.

Have you had a chance to check for the setup? Any changes to either of the phone numbers being used?

I have tried setting it up dozens of times, most of those times with Verizon tech support on the phone.

*72 works fine and forwards all calls to the 10 digit number I put in
*71 works and resets it back to voicemail
However, *73 seems to work as I get a recording that missed calls will be forwarded to the number after I dial the *73 code + 10 digit number, but when I ignore a call or miss a call, it goes to my Verizon voicemail.

I have used the +73 code for 11 years, turning it off and on as needed using this same account and same phone numbers, but around April or May it stopped working.  I've been using the same iPhone Pro Max 13 for the last 2 years.
