Been having sporadic 5GUW service at home with 4 bars signal strength. Verizon says it's because I'm on the older 5G Get More plan and that it doesn't get the speed/coverage that the newest plan gets and doesn't get the tower priority either.
I find this hard to believe that simply changing a plan can change your coverage. I've been stuck at slow 4GLTE speeds since the Jan 19th. Been on the phone with tech support several times and being told the same thing about changing and upgrading my plan.
If I drive 1 mile closer to to the school, towards the serving tower, I do in fact get 5GUW..even though tech support says that it's a 4G only tower. This is in a rural area btw..
Anyone have this experience before?

If you are able to get 5G UW, even sporadically, on your legacy plan, I would not upgrade your current plan. There are plenty of customers out there, even on current postpaid plans, who have the exact same problem.
If you were speaking with someone over the phone about this issue, chances are you were talking to someone overseas.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Atascosa thank you for sharing your data experience details with us. You shared that you experience this sporadiclly, is this on one device or multiple devices? Do you find that it happens more often during a specific part of the day or on certain days/times? We will be glad to investigate your experience closer.
