Looks like I am one of many. Upon signing up for 5G Home Internet and upgrading my TWO DECADES of being a Verizon wireless customer, I was promised a $200 gift card, $50 rebate, limited months free of streaming services. You guessed it: no gift card and no rebate. After I hunted down the Rebate department I was told I had to wait 8 weeks. I did... nothing. Called and was told the email was sent 3 weeks ago. I am meticulous with my email inbox and Junk/Spam folder. I have not received anything. I was told it is being resent. Right.
Better yet is the $200 gift card I was promised and I was later told to expect it on the week of February 7th (6 weeks after upgrading my useless plan)... no gift card. I called Verizon and was told that my upgrade did not qualify me for the $200 gift card AFTER I HAD BEEN TOLD IT WAS CONFIRMED TO BE SENT TO ME THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 7TH. I "have to be signed up for 5G Home PLUS for that promotion". This is not what was promised to me when I signed up for home internet and upgraded my wireless plan (for no useful reason on my end... I was fine with my previous plan.)
Obviously these are bait-&-switch tactics by Verizon given the number of us on here making the same complaints.
Obviously Verizon does not care about my loyalty going on 20 years.
Obviously I am not going to continue this loyalty given they have taken to lying, delaying, lying, losing and lying.
