What is the reason straight talk is saying they cannot release your number ?
Is the ohone number still active? Meaning your service has not expired correct ?
Also do you already have the device?
They cannot hold onto your phone number so I am asking to clarify so I can help you if possible as sometimes this process can be very confusing and also the reps or people you get on the phone can be hard to understand or not even know the correct answers
also you would need your account number from straight talk which is typically your imei number if your device (but there are variables that may cause that to be different )
you can confirm your account number on the website for straight talk if you have registered to be sure or they can give it to you.
the number transfer pin can be obtained by texting to 611611 from your device and the message put NTP.
the number transfer pin will be text back to you.

Your old phone being stolen is not a valid reason for Straight Talk to refuse to port. They could simply blacklist the phone so it can't be used anymore. Have you tried going to an actual Straight Talk store location and asking an employee for the transfer PIN?
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
