hello, I just recently ported out of Verizon and went to try another service and I am unhappy with it. im trying to join back and port back to Verizon but every time I've tried to sign up it says that I still have an account and to contact support but it feels like no-one is able to help me when I try to talk to me. can someone please help me figure out how to get Verizon back or possibly my old account back

If the system is saying you still have an account despite porting out, then I'm going to say you were a postpaid customer with Verizon before, and it's been less than 45 days since you left?  If this is so, what's going on is your account is in a suspended state with "winback" status.  This is done just in case a customer decides to return in a short period of time.

What you need to do is get your account number from your current carrier and a transfer PIN so you can port your number back to Verizon.  Then, call the Porting Department at 888-844-7095 and make sure you tell them you are a "winback" customer.  Not all agents know how to process a "winback" correctly, so it's important that you get someone who knows how to do it.  When you are signed back up as a "winback", your Verizon account is reinstated from where you left off.  This brings back any contracts or device deals you had before as well and prevents you from being penalized for breaking a contract and being forced to pay off devices.

Okay gotcha and yes previous postpaid customer. will I also get back my loyalty discounts I had? Also if I want to pay off my device before I call and get my number ported back will I still be considered a winback customer?

Was your device under some kind of contract (get a free phone, trade-in upgrade, etc.)?  If it was one of those things where you were getting monthly credits, do not pay off the device.  If you are processed as a winback, then your contract will come back from where you left off and your credits should come back.  As for loyalty discounts for being a customer X number of months - I think that's what you're asking about? - not sure.

With no contract tied to the phone, then it's your decision whether or not to pay it off completely.  I would ask Verizon about your loyalty discount.

We want to make sure you are able to get your service up and running. Can you tell us how long ago was your service disconnected?
