I recently had my number transferred over to me from my parents. Everything seems to have gone as it should with the transfer process. However, when attempting to link the phone number to my account, I keep getting the following error, "That mobile number is not eligible for linking."

Don't know if this is an IT glitch or something else, but I've heard about this issue a number of times. There are a few things which could be causing the holdup when I dug around in the transfer service section on the Verizon website.
-Line wasn't active for at least 30 days
-If there is an outstanding balance on a device, the balance either has to be paid off or some arrangement set up before transfer will go through
-Past due balance on either original owner or receiving party's account
-Credit check problems
-Line was on a legacy plan; legacy plans cannot be transferred to a new account
-If line was originally under a family plan, the account owner of the family plan didn't authorize the transfer correctly
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Hello, laurentouey. Congrats on getting your own account. This is always an exciting time! Help is here as we can check the account to see the what's happening. Having access to your online account is a must. Just to confirm, are you attempting to register via phone on the app or have you also tried via desktop computer? Desktop computer is the recommended option when you first set up registration. Please let us know.
