I got my new Iphone 15 yesterday and it is in SOS mode. It says the esim is locked. I tried calling customer service but am unable to get in touch with anyone because it states my phone number (that was supposed to be carried over from previous carrier) is not in the verizon network and boots me off of the call. I am so frustrated and don't know what to do at this point. I have a brand new useless phone,

Borrow someone's phone or get to a landline and call Verizon's Porting Department at 888-844-7095. Also contact your old carrier and make sure they released the number, although if both your old phone and new are now in SOS mode then I suspect the problem is something on Verizon's end. Depending on who you ported out from, it can take up to 48 hours for a port to finalize, but your phone shouldn't be in SOS mode because this sounds like a provisioning or syncing issue.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
