Switching from AT&T

Hello all.

Im looking to make the switch from AT&T to Verizon. My only question is, if I bring my iPhone 16 Pro Max from AT&T with me, and my Apple Watch Ultra 2, will I still be eligible for all of the deals when the iPhone 17 comes out in September? My 16 Pro Max is paid in full and unlocked. Im currently on Verizons 30 day free trial, and the data service and call signal is much better at my house, than AT&T. But, the only thing I care about, is being free and clear when the next phone comes out? Im also ID.ME verified, so, I will be getting that discount as well.

Definitely understand the concern of wanting to ensure you get the best deals possible! We don't have any contracts associated with bringing your own device. You'll just want to be mindful of any Bring Your Own Device promotions that you may take advantage of as those tend to void out if you decide to upgrade shortly after switching. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to us again; we're here for you!

Hello Limegrntaln, since the iPhone 17 has not been released yet, we don't have any information on upcoming promotions at this time, but rest assured, there will be great deals for both our existing and new customers!

Joe,

Thank you for the reply. I wanted to be sure I wasnt backing myself into some sort of a contract, just bringing my own phone over. I want to be able to trade my 16 Pro Max in when the new phones come out, without having to pay some soft of termination fee, or find out that I should have not switched carriers the way I did it. That I should have switched using a different method.

Thank you

If you're bringing your own unlocked phone, the only thing you need to be sure of is that you're signing up for a service plan only.  Do not go for the 3 year Price Lock offer, a trade-in, or any other sort of deal right now, as that is a contract for 36 months and you would not be able to trade in your iPhone 16 in the fall.  So long as you don't have a contract for the next few months, there's always a promotion whenever a new generation iPhone releases, which you could then sign up for when the phones are available to order and begin a contract then.  Depending on how Verizon wants to structure the offer, you may or may not have to be on Unlimited Ultimate in order to get the promotion.  If you sign up for some other plan for now, you can upgrade the service plan later.

[edit] The only hitch I can see concerning an iPhone 17 promotion would be is if it's only given to new customers.  Since nobody knows yet how the offer will be structured, if you are an existing customer at the time the iPhone 17 releases and whatever promotion there is is only for new customers...
