Unable to verify identity even though I'm already a Verizon Fios customer?

I find this really ridiculous that last year and this year I've tried to purchase a mobile plan through Verizon for the new iPhone and both years they've shut me out a few days after the order saying they're unable to verify my identity and they can't provide any more information about the discrepancies. They won't give me more information but they also won't let me give them any more information. I do not understand why this company.

I'm seeing other posts here with people going through the same issues. I'm already a FIOS customer, which was also complicated to apply for.
