Verizon Won’t let me have service

I tried to sign up for Verizon last night. It was not working so I called in and a rep helped. My issue was I moved recently to a new state that was not on my credit report so they told me to re place the order with my old address so I did. It went through but after order was confirmed it got flagged for fraud and they asked for proof of address a lease or car registration or mortgage documents or a utility bill etc. Well I made a lease with my housemate we signed it and such because I didn’t have one because I’m living in her front yard in a camper. I sent it in with my id and they just told me today they won’t accept it and my id and they can’t verify my identity and I can only get prepaid. What can I do how can I fix this?!

Sorry to hear your move and new address are causing that kind of problem. What you can do for now is sign up for prepaid service - at least that's cheaper than postpaid, although you have to deal with constant deprioritization since it's no-contract and on discounted pricing. Then get your ID updated to reflect your new address. When your new ID arrives, you can then convert your line to postpaid by contacting Inside Sales at 800-256-4646. It's likely the discrepancy between your ID showing your old address and your current lease showing something else which is flagging in the system.

Prepaid plans only last a month, so if it takes a while to get all your paperwork and ID straightened out elsewhere, either sign up for autopay so the prepaid plan will automatically renew every month on the expiration date, or make sure you manually make the payment for a renewal on time. Otherwise, your service will cancel upon expiration.
