Verizon port in failed and no one seems able to fix it '

My son has lost access to his phone number after a failed

Call center folks can't help and the local corp store refused to help

I started a complaint and the chat died while waiting for the person to came back

How do I exercise the 30 day cancel op than and get his number back on TMO?,

Check with your old carrier and make sure there aren't any problems with the old account there, as that can cause a provider to hold the number. Transfer PINs expire within a few days, so if the port needs to be redone, you will likely need a new transfer PIN. If you are bringing a phone from the old carrier, did you check that it is unlocked?

Verizon's Porting department may be reached at 888-844-7095 - use a different phone than the line in question, as they may have to redo the port, get another eSIM on the phone, or otherwise beat on things in the system to get it to work.

If all else fails, this is what I found regarding cancellation of service within 30 days:

You will still have to pay for the first month of service, and return any devices purchased within the 30 days. There is a $50 restocking charge per device.
