Verizon store

I recently had my iPhone 15 Pro Max and another iPhone 13 Pro on my account serviced at an Apple Store.  It was covered by Apple care.  The Apple Store was great and repaired both phones while we waited.  The Apple store could not reactivate the phone since it was a Verizon account.  The Apple store told me that I would have to visit a Verizon store to get it reactivated.

I went to the closet Verizon store to my home at 5 Mile and Beck Rd in Northville, MI.  The worker inside told me it was $50 per phone to reactivate the phone after the service.  I told him that I should not be charged and the store in Novi told me it there would be no charge when I called and asked.  The worker at the Northville store told me that every store has the power to charge whatever they want and that I needed to pay him to get my phone service back.

I don't understand how this is possible.  Any worker at any one of Verizon's stores can charge whatever they choose to perform basic assistance?

I had to drive across town on my day off to reactivate my phones free of charge.  I was not willing to let this guy rip me off.  I am very disappointed that Verizon allows this to happen.  How are we supposed to know if the workers at your store are trying to take advantage of Verizon customers.

Hey there, brakeguy, we want to make sure you are able to easily manage your account. Please click here: https://www.verizon.com/stores to access our store locator. All locations marked as a Verizon Company Store are direct Verizon stores. There is no charge to swap devices etc at a retail store location.
