how to bypass activation on tcl 50 xe 5g

Question

i bought a tcl 50 xe 5g from my local dollar general and im looking to use it as an android game phone and do my android only apps on it especially the one for my little robot buddy. i cant afford to put service on it to activate it at this time but plan to in the future. the phone doesnt have a setup over wifi option it even says on the top of the box wifi available after activation. is there anything i can do to use it or will i have to wait
