spend 3+ hours to get lines activated and ported still no luck

raheelsiddiqui

I am a new customer transferring from T-mobile. I ordered new devices with the help of sales rep online on 11/24/24 and received devices on 11/28/24. I am trying to get my lines ported and activated from T-mobile to Verizon spent 3+ hours chatting with support and kept transferred to different department and still no solution. Also, I created an account online tried to link my number and it says number is not associated with Verizon also unable to access the gift cards(I already got an email, but still unable to access them). Not sure who I need to talk to, Online reps kept transferring me to different department and issue is still unresolved.

If the system is saying your numbers aren't associated with Verizon, then T-Mobile still has them and you'll need to contact T-Mobile to ask why they won't release the numbers.  Or, if you waited longer than a few days to port the numbers out, the transfer PIN numbers for porting likely expired and you need to request new ones, which I'm pretty sure you can do on the My T-Mobile app because that was how I managed to come back to Verizon.

As for your My Verizon account, if you created it before your lines were active on Verizon, you only have a guest account which nothing can be linked to.  You'll need to wait until your service is active before creating a new account with your phone number.

Iโ€™m having a very similar issue and the port status of the number said it was complete but Iโ€™m still stuck without being able to activate my cellular plan on iPhone 14

It's a pretty easy process,  some people are better at explaining it than others.

1) using your old phone dial *port and follow the prompts to port number.

If they say it's been done or you get an error message which indicates your number is ported.

You'll need your old account number and the ORIGINAL pin you set up your old phone with. That's your port pin.

Go into settings in your new phone and locate sim card manager. Click into that and go to your Esims card settings and enter your new phone number and the pin that you created with Verizon. And you should have service.  Make a test call and a text .

Things to consider...it can take 24 to 48 hours for a number to port depending on your prior service provider.  If your new phone doesn't have your old phone information you may have to enter it manually.  The biggest take away is the Verizon number is an esims not a physical Sims. And if your old account identifiers aren't in your new account it's like they are not activated and you'll have to call or visit your nearest store for the line activation.
