AT&T Iphone work for Verizon?

I wanted to buy an Iphone from AT&T and switch it to the Verizon Network, with out Unlocking the phone, i never had AT&T before, I've only had Verizon. Please help me with any info that you may know about this subject...!!! :smileyhappy: thanks!

What you want can not be done. ATT uses GSM technology. VZW uses CDMA.

Even if it was the same technology, VZW does not allow a device on their system that is not VZW branded.

No Problem.... Unlocking a phone pnly works on GSM phones and systems

Yeah, you can unlock an AT&T iphone and take it to T-Mobile, or any other GSM carrier, but taking it to a CDMA carrier like VzW is physically impossible. It'd be like trying to listen to an FM radio station using an AM radio.

I know estimates place about a million iPhones on T-Mobile even though they don't officially sell the iPhone, so that's probably where all the AT&T->Verizon iphone confusion comes from...

Idk if you have a verizon iphone or not, but no where on the phone does it say verizon, except for the carrier info at the top info bar.

Even then thats not a brand.

Yeah apple dont allow anyone to touch there phone that doesnt say apple on it
