I have an iPhone 4S and an international calling plan. Supposedly my SIM card was activated before I left the US.
Can someone tell me how to dial the US from ROme? All my calls are failing, and incoming calls do not come through.

I do not believe the 4S is a global phone. ie a GSM chip installed. Italy is strictly a GSM service area

The iPhone 4S is a global ready phone.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Hi there Cagnik!
I hope you're enjoying your global travels! I know how important it is to stay connected while you're abroad and I will be delighted to review all available options.
Please use our International Trip Planner found here: http://vz.to/13PtksT You choose the countries you're visiting, the services you need (calls/text/data) and your model phone. The 3rd tab will be titled "Dialing Instructions" and will advise you how to dial depending on the country you're in.
If you're still having issues you can contact our Global Customer Service for free by using the Calling Card information found on the right hand side of this page: http://vz.to/17msSW8
Thanks!
