My ipad had a number assigned and my cell has a number assigned. I would like to text from my ipad and have the number assigned show up in caller ID instead of my cell number. Is there a way to do that?
No. Verizon does not allow or support texting from tablets with the tablet's number.
theodsa It’s great that you are enjoying this feature. Isn’t is wonderful that you can send a text from your tablet. I realize it would be nice if the phone number was not the same as your cell. However, the number we assign to the tablet is only a holding number in our system. It is not actually a cell number available for use. I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
