I know I activated my iphone before I really looked into getting my 300+ contacts onto it from my Droid. I called Customer Service and they had me try to pair my Droid and Iphone with bluetooth and send the file that way. That didn't work, the iphone would not pair with it. So I did the following:
1. Set up your gmail account on your iphone.
2. Go to your gmail on your computer. Bring up contact list, select all, export your gmail contacts in a vCard format (for importing into Apple Address Book or another application)
3. Save it on your computer as above.
4. Send an email from your computer to your gmail account with the above file attached.
5. When you open the file it asks you if you want to merge, etc. tell it yes.
6. Oh Happy Day all your contacts will be on your iphone.

Thanks for that very helpful hint. Turned off WiFi and had contacts transferred in less than 60 seconds. I knew someone around here could help.

THANK YOU!!! How hard would it have been for Verizon/Apple to tell us that the WIFI had to be turned off? I wasted a couple of hours trying to download my contacts....

I have WiFi turned off and I get the text and enter the code. Then, I get this error message, "Account has configuration error. Please ocntact customer support." I contacted them and the guy told me to reset my phone, which I did but I still get that error. Anyone else? Any suggestions?

I ran the vz contact transfer and it said I was successful transferring 170 changes for a total of 531contacts but my verizon contact list online does not show any of the new contacts I added to my iphone. Where did they go?
