I want my Iphone 6 back. I never had any problems with it. This 7 is less than 2 weeks old and keeps locking up...not able to use it or re-set it,

Are you aware the reset/reboot button combinations have changed with the iPhone 7. Since the home button is no longer really a button, if you want to do a reset, you must press the power and volume down button together.

Yes, it will not re-set. Anyhow, why is a brand new iphone 7 having problems? Apple made a big deal out of this piece of junk! I have it in an Otterbix, have not gotten it wet or moist, never dropped it. I want my 6 back & I really want to drop Verizon. I spent thirty minutes on hold then thirty more minutes trying their chat. I still haven't spoke to an agent. Tomorrow a trip to the Verizon store will be the last time I deal with them.

I know it sux when you get the one of few bad new devices, but it does happen. Your best bet is to take it to the Apple Store if you have one close and Apple will exchange it for a working one with no questions. If you don't have an Apple store near you, contact Apple support. Going through Apple will have the best outcome for you.

I have the iPhone 7 128GB black. I haven't had this issue myself. If your device is backed up or your able to get it to backup (e.g. I have mine set to backup via iCloud) you can then do this:
Good luck. Your other option is to make an appt w/ the Apple Genius Bar assuming you live anywhere near an Apple Store.

I have the 7 with 128 gb, black. It locks up at different times. Sometimes when running Safari, making a call, texting, etc...
It becomes inoperable and no way to reboot or close anything out. I talked with Apple and I''m going to trade it in for a dependable Iphone 6.

You do realize the iPhone 7 is dependable, you just got a bad one. Every device made gets unfortunate bad devices. No reason to downgrade, but that is your prerogative.
