Message+ no longer displays message on ipad

It has been a couple weeks since verizons message+ has displayed any messages on my iPad 6th generation. When I click on the app I get a screen with no messages and then a short time later the green goes away. I am thinking I should remove the app and then reinstall it but am concerned about losing some text history? Any suggestions?

It's so handy to get texts on your iPad and I'm sad to hear the messages are no longer coming through. Let's make sure we get this back on track quickly for you. To begin, is this iPad getting text messages that are also being received on another device (your cell phone perhaps)? If so, are the messages coming through fine on there?
