My voicemail says it is full - but when I delete a few messages, and keep deleting once they come in the voicemail continues to stay "full". it is as though the voicemails are in fact not being deleted, but I can't see them any longer.

Resetting the network settings worked!!!!!
I finally got to a live rep at Verizon, and he fixed it.
Resetting the Network worked! Thank you!
THE SOLUTION IS TO RESET NETWORK SETTINGS.
I believe it's Settings, General, scroll down to Reset Network Settings. This has worked for multiple phones in my office.
Yes that is the solution! Thank you for your respionse.
Worked for me XR phone, too.
cCalvert, we want to get to the bottom of your Voicemail concerns. How do you normally access your Voicemails? Have you tried calling *86, and deleting some there? We're eager to hear back from you. - MichelleH_VZW
Apparently the issue with the iPhone is that the screen interface doesn’t actually delete the messages. One must use dial “1” (press and hold while it connects to your Verizon voicemail box) then use your four digit pin# to login and choose to listen your voice mail messages then press 7 to delete each of them as they playback After that , your box will actually be empty.
Verizon standard voicemail sends a “voicemail is full” message after only stored 20 VM’s. Screen display of saved voicemails is inaccurate, little correlation to the actual saved VM’s. Dial #86 to access your voicemail. Delete saved VM’s. Worked for me.
I’ve had the same problem. On an earlier post Verizon mentioned checking your voicemail the old fashioned way by pressing the #1. This went into my voicemail and it said I had 30 new voicemail messages! These did not show up in my actual voicemail. I went through each of the 30 and deleted them that way. BTW, every message was a spammer that I thought by blocking them immediately after the phone stopped ringing would keep them from leaving a message. According to my voicemail it did as I didn’t “see” any messages. Unfortunately, each of the 30 messages I listened to the old fashioned way were the spammers I thought I was keeping from leaving a message! So, bottom line Verizon must develop a way to keep the spam phone calls from coming through FREE OF CHARGE! 98% spam calls are from the first 8 digits of my telephone number. I no longer live in that state so know they all are spam and I don’t answer the calls but they can still leave messages.
We understand your concern with spammers leaving voicemails behind. Which app are you using to block your spam calls? Are they calling from the same phone number?
