Order iPhone 6, trade in 4s later?

Ok, probably a silly question that has been asked many times.

Would it make sense (or can I) order the iPhone 6 now since the delivery date keeps getting pushed back and trade in our current 4s phones later? I assume we would have to get new phone numbers which is no big deal. Thanks for any help!

You wouldn't need new phone numbers. Your current numbers can be activated on your new iPhones when you receive them.
