Unable to receive verification text messages

I have been with Verizon since late summer of 2019 I have never had an issue receiving verification codes and after 2 hours on the phone (on and off) with Chase NOT being able to be verified when all they needed was to send me a simple code via text message it got annoying. I am not able to recieve verification code by my bank on my iPhone XS please help
