Hello, this is the first complaint I’ve ever made. I’m usually super easygoing and totally understanding if there’s ever a problem. Too, I know it’s not any of Verizon’s Customer Service Representatives’ fault. They were all wonderful.
However, I’m panicking and dissatisfied with the upgrade and ordering process through Verizon.
I have an upcoming month long trip to Brazil in 4 days. For Christmas, my dad let me upgrade for a new phone (grant it, I pay my own monthly phone bill).
I selected to trade in my old Apple iPhone 8 Plus and I placed an order for an iPhone 14 Pro in Deep Purple on 12/26/22 at a nearby store that had the phone available in stock. Payment was processed, trade-order was placed also, and all I needed to do was wait for the Pick-up Confirmation from the Verizon store.
I waited 4 days and still no confirmation. Finally, 12/26 the store unexpectedly canceled my order without a reason. I called multiple representatives to see why my order was canceled. Many of them were unsure, which is fine.
Eventually, I placed another order for the exact phone, excited to finally get this process over with and have my phone ready before my trip! I selected the free 2-day shipping excited to receive my phone on time!
Today is 1/23 and the order hasn’t even been processed for shipment. I’m panicking because I leave 1/5. It would be extremely upset if I had to pay the first bill of $75 for a new iPhone 14 Pro when I won’t even be able to use because it never arrived. Too, the trade-in for my old phone is due 1/25….I’ll be in Brazil!!!!!
Overall, the customer representatives that worked with me have been insanely polite, helped to the best of their ability, and were understanding.
I just wish I knew why there was a delay in my order, especially when I called the last representative who said the iPhone 14 Pro in Deep Purple is in stock and was unsure why there would be a delay in the order.
With no answer to why there’s a delay in the order even though the phone is in stock, I’m quite upset.
I was hoping I’d have my phone through Verizon’s free 2-day shipping before my trip to Brazil. Dissatisfied with Verizon.
I hope I can be compensated in some way.
