I just switched from AT&T to Verizon after dropping calls every few minutes or seconds. I feel as though I just traded in my sputtering Lamborghini for a newer more promising model only to find that although it looks great... all the parts are glued on. NOTHING works!

Don't take the last few comments too seriously. We were just making comments on the different opinions out there in a humorous light! Keeps us all smilin' even if we do have the occasional disagreement.

Well perhaps, but I see that you have a Droid Incredible, which is not the correct phone (should be Droid 2 Global, in white, with 32GB SD card) so I would rather buy a house from someone who has made good cellphone purchasing decisions.

-I had no idea how cumbersome it would be to not be able to surf or retrieve email while on the phone. Wow.I would think you were well aware of this highly publicizied limitation prior to making a choice to switch carriers. Doesn't make the phone a "phony"...just means you made a bad choice if this was a huge deal to you.-You canNOT merge calls. It doesn't matter if you call them or they call you... you can't do it. You can view the icon but it's dimly lit and isn't an option on the Verizon network.I have been able to merge calls (if you look at the guide conveniently located on your iPhone in Safari you will see how to do this correctly on the CDMA iPhone.-Have fun switching back and forth between two calls because that's the extent of their separation as when you hang up with one... it ends BOTH conversations. There is no longer an option for ending one line.Again, the guide will help you greatly, but for this although it's not the same as AT&T when your call "ends" in reality there will be or should be a ringback...and you can resume the phone call.-The real kicker is that you can't even place a call on hold either. Wow. Seriously? Not to beat a dead horse...the guide tells you how to do this...and it works perfectly for me.-While you're on the phone with your ONE person you also can't correspond ANY other way, as not only is your internet disabled but so are your messages. Nice, right? This is another one of those gems you should have known prior to making a decision to switch....and you should also know that this is NOT true if you are on wifi. Otherwise, this is something you should have known.I'm beyond annoyed. I want my sputtering Lamborghini back... at least with AT&T all the parts functioned, even if the convos were ended prematurely.
Unless you've waited for too long to return the Vz iPhone or you sold it or something you should be able to get your sputtering Lamborghini back...although seriously, why bother with a phone at all if the least important part of it for you is the actual phone? I get wanting the best of both worlds but to feel like having absolutely crappy phone capabilites is a much better thing is beyond me. Mind you, some of what you complain about is in relation to phone calls. What good is being able to merge a call (which I again point out CAN be done if done correctly) if your calls are dropped every few mins or secs based on your own assertation? When I called Verizon they said the've never heard of any issues with conference calls. So either she was hired 2 minutes before my call or they hire liars. Lame. She said she was going to connect me with Technical Support and instead transfered me to some unsuspecting Apple Victim who had no way of explaining why Verizon can't handle the iPhone.Does anyone have any ideas on how to get Verizon do something about these serious flaws? Or even any tips to get around these issues?Tips to get around the issues...read the manual on your phone to see how certain features work on the CDMA device you purchase....try to be on wifi when possible....switch back to your sputtering Lamborghini and hope things get better with your dropped calls situation (and wait it out for a 4G iPhone that may make phone issues better)...choose a different device on either carrier....those are the tips that come to mind right off hand. Accept that if you truly didn't know the basics before switching carriers that it is not a reflection of the device...more a reflection on your blind decision making. If after actually looking at the manual you still can't make things you complained about work as they are written to be able to, then you truly have an issue that tech support should be able to help you with or Apple Support. Otherwise, it's just an issue of you expecting the CDMA device and network to be exactly like the GSM device/network you left...and that isn't the case despite the devices sharing many of the same things.Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
