My 10/17 order was just updated this morning with a tracking number, and I received a shipping notification email. . Looks like that happens the day after they charge your card.
ordered mine on October 8th.. two 16gb models and one 64gb model.. ship date of the 21st.. still hasnt been shipped yet so i assume they will be sending the phones on the last possible day in order to ensure the largest batch per shipment possible
I pre-ordered mine on the 8th and somehow got booted to 11/04!! I was checking my order for two weeks and it clearly said 10/21! now it says 11/04!!So many hang-ups with switching to Verizon! I am now im in phone limbo and my card has been charged, there's nothing I can do. Has anyone had any similar problems?
Actually got a shipment notification and tracking email. So the order status was just completely wrong! Good news! I will getmine on 10/21 afterall!
Ok, here's my timeline:
I also ordered on the 8th (16GB White) at around 8PM... received confirmation email shortly... received the fake cancellation email on the 17th.. called CSR twice and they made sure that my order is in good standing and that it says it will ship on the 21st...check order status online on the 19th at around 10am, pre-order # now changed to order #, but without tracking info yet... received email this morning at 3:45am with the shipping information...FedEx tracking provided, says my phone will arrive by 3PM tomorrow. Now refreshing the FedEx site every hour to see if the package has been picked up at the warehouse....
Can't wait!
Edit: Fedex tracking now says the package has been picked up at Memphis, TN.
I ordered my 16g Black on the 12th. The ship by date is still 10-28. But they have yet to take payment from my bank account? But on here it said the line I upgraded can't be altered until the new device is recieved and activated? Do they wait til the phone is shipped before attempting payment?

They will not charge your billing method until the device is placed in the system as shipped (once a shipping label and tracking number is generated for it).
I ordered 64GB Black and 32GB Black on the 14th and they did charge my credit card that day. It is showing a ship date of 10/28 on order status.
Ordered 32gb black on the 17th. Expected ship date is the 28th. It looks like they have not charged my card yet. I will be interested to see when it gets shipped.
Ordered on 10/12 (16gb Black). Received email last night that the order was cancelled . I sent them a message about it asking what was going on. I just got another email and text message saying again that the order was cancelled. No explanation, just the "option" to reorder. Fun stuff.
I would call Customer service. I have read about a few people that got a False email about their order being cancelled.
I had to re register under a different name was (cphipps79). The status changed today on my order, intead of saying its in process. Now all it does is show the actual order number and it says Courier:

They also charged my credit card this afternoon. 9 Days after the initial order! Is this good new for me!!!! Please say yes haha

I ordered an iPhone 4S on Oct 15th and when I asked them how I could check on the status of my order they told me that there wasn't a way to do that? But it seems like you all have been checking the status of your order, so how do I go about doing that? I just want to have some clue of when the phone ships to me. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
I just recieved tracking numbers from Verizon. It is being shipped through FedEx and will arrive monday morning!! I am stoked! Its a Black 16g ordered on Oct. 12th around 11:30pm. Original shipping said it would be here the 28, but 4 days early is awesome!
Same here. I ordered my 32GB black 4s on the 12th around 9:00 pm PST and originally it said deliver by 10/28. This afternoon I got a confirmation email with a FedEx tracking number. Sadly it won't be deilvered until the 24th which doesn't make sense because it was picked up in Ontario, CA and I'm right here in Sacramento, CA.
I ordered my black 16g at 4pm est on 18OCT with a ship by date of 28OCT.
My card hasn't be charged yet, and all I know is this next week is going to drag so slowly.
Ordered 10/17 at 10:30 AM EST, 16 GB White. Expected ship date is 10/28/11 and that hasn't changed. Haven't checked to see if my card has been charged or not.
Also - I just called a VZW location near me (Bethesda, MD) and they said that they aren't getting any 4S in stock until they get all their preorders fulfilled. I dunno if this is true, but it would be nice of them.
Again, Oct 17 order, still no update!
Update to my 10/17 online order, I see they just charged my credit card. The order status now shows the "Order Number" and the blank tracking number field along with "will ship by 10/28"
I purchased my Iphone on oct. 17th, shipped on Oct. 25th they tried to deliver it on oct. 26th but since I did not get any emails sayig it was shipped I missed it because I was at work, they updated the verizons order status after they tired to deliver the phone so watch out for the Fed Ex driver or leave a note if you're not home, mine is being delivered as a second attempt today here in Minnesota.

I noticed that nobody has posted their order status for orders placed in November. I placed my order for a black 64GB iPhone 4s online on Saturday, November 5th around 3:30 pm (I live in Albuquerque, NM). I received my order confirmation immediately after my order, but have not received any additional information since. I check the status of my order daily (using the "Check Your Order Status" link included in the confirmation email), but only receive the following message:
We received your order and it is in process. Expected Ship Date: 11/25/2011
I was just curious if anybody else has placed an order recently, and what is the status of your order. Look forward to the responses!

I put in an order on 11/9 around 3:00 ET PM for the iPhone 4S 16GB and it says the ship by 11/11, but that's probably just because you^ ordered the 64GB. I also got same day shipping but the checking of my shipment hasn't worked out so well. It always says that VZW is having tech difficulties and such, its getting really annoying. It would be greatly appreciated if it would get here fast and safely because college life sucks without a phone for a week and a half
Also the lady that was taking my order got my dorm address wrong... I mean c'mon, I said it like seventeen times.. If someone could contact me, I would very greatful. I still love VZW.
I ordered my iphone 4s black 16G on 10/31. I never received a confirmation email, so I called a week later. I got an order confirmaiton number from the CSR who was really helpful. They confirmed my ship date was 11/11, just as the online status had told me. on 11/11 I checked to see where my order status is and all I got was a "We are experiencing technical difficulties, please check back later." It's now 11/14, I expected my iphone to be at my doorstep and I come home to nothing. I called a CSR and all she could say was someone will be in contact with you shortly.... no specific time, date, or reason.... I was left in the dark. REALLY!!??!!??!!??!!??!!
Update: Today I spoke with a CSR who knew his job. And when I mean "knew"... I mean "knew!" He got a hold of an apple rep, and found the glitch in the system that put my order in limbo. Cancelled that order and made a new order... expidited my order to the point that my iphone 4s will be here tomorrow. I got the tracking number and everything. Thank God for quality workers. I am definitely impressed and I hope Verizon takes this to heart and realizes the value of a quality employee. Thanks.
My iPhone's ship date was"ship by - the 11th", I received it on the 8th
Did the CSR state that this is a problem for everyone with recent orders? I ordered the night of 11/11/11. My 9 day old iPhone 4s crashed upon upgrade. It "bricked." Spent two hours on the phone with VZW technicians. But, they determined that the phone must have been flawed. The tech said that it would be shipped Monday. The order confirmation email says 12/9. My first iphone 4s was ordered 10/26. It was here by 10/30. Thus, I had to reactivate my limping BB Bold.
