Verizon still processing order!

Okay I'm one of the few who pre-ordered within the first hour and should be getting it by Sept. 21st, but my question is Verizon sent me my order confirmation and it says it will notify me when it ships, but they haven't even took the money out of my account yet and the pre-order confirmation page yes "still processing order". Is there anyone else who is experiencing this or has been notified that their phone has been shipped?

It's totally normal. It'll say processing until they generate the shipping label and won't take money out until the same (ie, it ships).

you can now check ur order status page and it should say ur order been place and wont charge until they ship..

Where are you looking to see order status? The link I was given in my email does not say anything. . .when I went to look at order history and there is NO Order pending. . .

The above link (not from the email) is where you check your preorder status.

The link from the email (at least for me) does list some order info for me, but only if I select "Ordered in store" instead of "Ordered from website" or whatnot.

I have received a pre-order email but when I go to check the order or pre-order # I get errors about the numbers being wrong or not being on file. What gives am I doing something wrong?

Don't worry everyone... sounds like Verizon is starting to ship the phones. See information below:

Looks like it'll be any time now... ALSO, look at his delivery date. Shows 9/19 instead of 9/21!

My status shows "Ships on 9/21"...does that mean I won't actually get it on 9/21? I pre-ordered at midnight...

Just got off the phone. . .spoke with the CSR from Verizon since I too questioned the 9/21/2012 Ship date.

She tells me that if the order placed for a Black iPhone5 by 9am on 9/14 it will be received on 9/21/2012. If ordered a White one it had to be ordered by 1pm on 9/14 to be delivered by 9/21/2012.

She also told me that these will be coming straight from Apple NOT Verizon Warehouse and once a shipping label is put on the package the tracking number will be available to us. I can only suspect the person that got the tracking number for delivery on 9/19 the phone probably has not actually shipped yet (I can't believe that Apple would have ANYONE get it early)

I was also told Apple is shipping overnight.

I hope this is right Mgalmo. I order black on 9/14 around 310AM/ My email confirmation says receive by 9/21 and confirmation says shipped by 9/21. Verizon CF rep said shipped by 9/21 because the phone doesn't really come out until the 14th and there is no way to get it on the 14th if one pre-ordered.

That's really weird.

The two different reps I spoke with said almost the exact opposite of everything you just wrote:

1) No preorder phones delivered until the Monday following release (at the earliest)

2) Phones were coming directly from Verizon

Verizon is really making this process frustrating - although not nearly as frustrating as standing in line at a store to get one.

I hope your rep is right!

You guys just stress yourself's out over nothing the people that have got shipping info are ones that ordered from Apple this is because most Apples phones ship from China anyone who ordered from Verizon will get it by the 21st with 2day or overnight shipping depending on where you live your phone will ship from the warehouse from your order location found on your pre order confirmation email.

The tracking info could very well be for account documents for a new account ect... This also happened last year with the 4S someone got a tracking # and swore up and down it was their 4S but when the package came it was account documents from Verion for being a new subscriber again I am not saying I am correct just a possibility.

It would not be the first time Verizon CSRs would have opposing information. . .

I agree with iDroid, I have ordered from Apple before and it does come from China. . .Hoping mine is already Stateside. . .

I just checked my status and it's still processing. If there were issues or problems, I'd be notified right? I guess no news is good news?

As long as your order is still processing you should be good. This is my third iPhone pre order from Verizon I have been in this same boat three differnt years I just explain my past experiences with Verizon in hopes to ease the stress levels for some I know this can be a very stressful time lol.

Thanks for the reply - that made me feel a ton better! This is my first time pre-ordering. Last year I just waited outside the store. Thought I'd save myself the wait, so this is all pretty new to me.

I ordered at 8:30 EST on 9/14. I received a confirmation # along with a notice that an email will follow. Since then, no email! My confirmation # doesnt work when I check my order status, and they processed a payment on my card then undid it!!! WTF?

Same stuff going on with my order. I preordered a white 32gb at 2:58 am est, and order is still processing with the same confusion with delivery date. Wish I would've just bought it from apple. Much more reliable

Interestingly the wording has changed on mine now. Last time they said they had received my order and it was "in processing".

Now the text reads "Your order has been sent for processing" - and my expected delivery date is now blank as opposed to 09/21. My bank was just charged for the phone though. So I'm guessing that this means it's starting to make it's way to me :smileyhappy:

Mine says the exact same as yours - check your credit card online, a pending charge from Verizon is showing up for the amount of the phone which means it's been shipped or will be shipped soon.

Mine has changed, too. Now instead of telling me that my order has been sent for processing I now see an order number along with "Courier", "Status", and Ship date", though all three are blank at the moment. I'm taking this as a good sign that my phone is starting to move through the system and make it's way to me. :smileyhappy:

Mine now says has been sent for processing with a blank order date (instead of 9/21). I bank website is down at this time so I cant confirm that part.
