I dropped my phone and cracked the screen - I am on the Verizon Edge Program - If I repair it somewhere other than Apple, will my phone be accepted for the Edge program when I go to "Edge Up"? (i.e Will they be able to tell it was repaired elsewhere and will they not accept it "in like- new condition" )

You can't keep the old phone AND Edge Up. The Edge Up option requires you turn in the the previous Edge device.
Now if you finish paying all the Edge payments, you can keep the old phone and enter into a new Edge payment program for a new phone.

If they can tell it was repaired elsewhere you would have to pay the phone off 100% to Edge up

You're welcome a.hennion. If you have insurance on your account, you can replace the phone for the low insurance cost deductible. So you have insurance?

I'm sorry your screen is broken a.hennion. I can understand how frustrating this is for you. Any changes made to your device can void the warranty.

KinquanaH_VZW I literally just dropped the phone and I was due to Edge up next month (I started the edge program last January) - so the warranty is not really that important to me - I just want to "edge up" before my 2 years. Would you still advise that I take it to apple to fix? Thank you!

Thanks for the details a.hennion. If the phone is damaged, you will not be able to edge up because the phone has to be in good working condition so you can return it. The warranty is what what allows us to take back a used device. If there is unauthorized software, broken pieces , or liquid damage it can not be returned to us.

The phone will not be returned a. hennion once you mail it back to us. We don't return phones sent back to the warehouse. Once you receive the new Edge phone , you will then return the old phone back to us. If our warehouse finds any issues with the phone, physical , water, unauthorized software or any parts that have been replaced not by us you will get charge the full amount for your phone.

Thanks for the information a.hennion. You can take the phone to an Apple store for an evaluation of the issues. If a third party store repairs or replaced any parts of the phone not authorized by Apple or Verizon wireless officially you will be charged for the returned phone. I hope this information is helpful.

I wasn't asking to return the phone. I am keeping the current phone I have ( I've had it for almost a year now), but I am due to Edge Up in a month and the screen got cracked. I was trying to see what options I had in replacing it without paying an absorbent amount of money. Thank you for all of your assistance!
