iPhone 5

So I would guess the iPhone 5 will come out for both carriers this summer? Or maybe a little later for Verizon to incorporate 4G. what kinds of different features do you think it'll have?

I'm pretty sure it'll have the new dual core A5 processor. And maybe an upgraded front camera. Any other ideas? Or what you would like to see?

I do not see an iPhone 5 in VZW future any time soon. VZW has the iPhone now, but I bet ATT has exclusivity on new devices. And I do not see a 4G unit for VZW until well after ATT has theirs, which will be a while.

Just my observation.

my bet is its just an iphone 4gs, with minor modifications.

if they dont do 4g they are stupid, but then it is apple they are falling behind the hardware front, banking on ios

oh if they do a dual core they will only turn 1 on, then release another version with both.

Yeah I was thinking it would stay on the same 1 year timeline and be named the iPhone 4G. Maybe a little bulkier with a little more weight too.

Respectfully disagree. My opinion is that the iPhone 5 will be released on Verizon in Jan 2012 (or at earliest Nov 2011) and will be a minor upgrade to the iPhone 4. The iPhone 5 will not be 4G (LTE) and while it may have an upgraded front camera, that just supports my "minor upgrade" opinion. An upgraded front camera does very little when you cannot use it to make calls over the 3G network.

I would like to see an iPhone with a replaceable battery (even though the current battery is very good) and a micro SD card slot for expandable memory. I would also like to see the iPhone use the micro USB standard charging/data port as most other manufacturers have to reduce electronic waste.

I won't be making any bets on these things actually happening but I would like to see them.

I'm pretty sure the SD card won't happen. And it won't be LTE either. I believe the sizes are supposed to have more range up to 64GB. The port may happen in the next few years but not on the next one.
