I just upgraded to the iPhone 7 and my reception is awful.
I get no signal where on my iPhone 6 I had a good signal.
I discovered if I reboot, I get the signal again but if driving I lose the signal again. But again a reboot restores the signal.
This is terrible service.

The Verizon store fixed my issue.
In Settings>Cellular make sure Cellular Data is on. Under Cellular Data Options click to turn Roaming on and make sure Enable LTE is set only to Data and Roaming is Voice Only

Same here... I've called VZW... They said they are aware of it but then put the problem on Apple. Apple is not aware of the issue.

ELAFRE94, we always want you to be connected to the best signal we have for you. We are here to help make sure you have service. Since getting your great new phone, have you made sure that it is up to date with our network by going to Settings, General, About, and tapping Carrier Settings? Have you tried a Forced Restart to ensure there are no software errors causing that signal issue? http://apple.co/1KjGXVW

I am having the exact same problem, did not have it with my iPhone 6. My husband has a 7 just like me and does not have the problem. Something is strange here. I went to Settings/about/ and there is NO Carrier Settings......so much for that advice. I have reset my phone and changed to wifi trying to fix the problem, however, people tell me that they can't hear me because my phone keeps going in and out. This is frustrating. I was told at Verizon that the signal on the iPhone 7 was BETTER than the iPhone 6. Very frustrating. I have been searching the web for a solution! It is not an apple problem.

I didn't have time to read every post in this thread and I apologize if this has already been stated.
Try enabling LTE on data only. (Not voice & data) My wife and I both have the 7 and I did this
to hers as she was have the same problem. Her phone has been fine since.
Also, do a soft reset. Press the power button and volume down together
and keep them pressed. Continue to press them both, the phone will turn
off and then power back on. When it restarts, release the buttons. This
will not clear ANY memory or anything else saved in the phone.
I hope this helps.

Same here. Always have less bars than family and friends with iphones. Occasionally even reverts to 3g. This has been true in 2 separate major US cities that I have been to since getting the iphone 7.

Let's see if we can get this sorted out for you. We know it's important that you're able to receive the signal you need on your phone. There was a software update just made available for the iPhone in the last couple days. Have you already completed that?

I have little to no reception in my home, i have updated the phone (iphone 7) and did a reset of network settings and all other settings. No luck, same problem. I was with AT&T with 0 issues with reception in my home. This needs to get sorted out very soon or i will return the phones and go back to AT&T.

I have a new iPhone 7 (1 week old), and I don't get any more than 2 dots / bars on my phone. I can't get the phone to recognize the Bluetooth devices near by as well. Maybe because the signal is so bad.
On another thread, I also reported the freezing issue. Does anyone know if getting a new phone will fix the issue? I'd hate to have to download all the apps I just set up.

Bluetooth would have nothing to do with cell signal strength.
Did you update to 10.0.3.

Why should we have to put LTE on data only when Verizon has a feature for data and voice? This is called HD Voice and allows data searching while in the phone.
Verizon... there seems to be a issue going around the web in many different states with the iPhone 7 where it loses its connections to certain band Frequencies in the phones. This could be due to the upgrade of the advanced LTE network but my 6S worked great. But where I was getting 150+ download speeds according to OOKLA I'm now getting 4 mbps download and is almost intolerable. If I wanted these speeds I would go to sprint and get 2 phones with truly unlimited data for $100.... so I need this issue resolved as soon as you can get it. Here is the ticket number involved with the issue 102095-091716

I've got same issue.
Had good reception with iPhone 6. Got iPhone 7 and it's been a cellular black hole in home and car. -115 bar. Have tried both cellular and WiFi for cell calls and other state call is choppy and impossible to con't call. Wife and kid's new iPhone 7s having same problem. Have tried suggestions in thread. Impossible to conduct business calls.
So regretting this new phone and Vzn service coverage.

As others have said, go into "settings - cellular - cellular options - enable LTE" and change to "data only".
This has resolved SOME of my connectivity issues and while Verizon and Apple are quick to tell you how to band-aid the issue, they've not publicly announced they have any issues.
My problem, aside from spending almost $900 on a phone that doesn't place calls and loses service several times a day, is that with the above modified/enabled/disabled, WE can not call someone and use the internet. This is a 2013 downgrade and the reason I'm taking my iPhone back in a few days if it's not resolved. People HAVE to have reliable service.
Unless it's free service for a month or a temporary replacement is offered. But we all know that isn't going to happen.

I'm not loving the new iphone 7 yet bc i get more 3G, 1x, or No Service than the actual LTE. It's very aggravating when I had no probs w my 6s. I travel alot w my children and need the phone service that I'm paying for.

I know I would feel the same way if I kept having signal issues with my new iPhone 7, kbennett81. My number one goal is to turn this experience around and ensure you start loving your phone. What zip code are you in? Does service improve (doesn’t fluctuate) outside your home location? For example, if you travel outside a 5 mile radius does the issue duplicate? Is your software up to date? Please share details.

My zip is 71263 & I actually have to use wifi inside my home in order to use the phone at all. It varies from day to day as far as if i have 3g or 1x where one day i may get lucky & actually have lte. I work 12 miles away & i also use wifi there due to no service. Everything is up to date. Ive tried rebooting & i've also reset metwork settings several times with no luck.

We’re going to stop at nothing to ensure you get the service you deserve kbennett81. As you’ve gone through many steps already, we recommend powering the phone off and removing the sim card for a minute. Once you place the sim card back in and power the phone on, please test the service and let us know how the connection is.

Steven, no offense, I'm sure Verizon and Apple is doing everything to assist "upset" users that currently have very few good phones to choose from currently but our SIM cards are not the issue. Neither is signal for most people when their iPhone 5s, 6 or 6s worked fine before the 7.
If either Apple or Verizon would like to truly help users, you all could start by publicly acknowledging the issue and then giving us an ETA for resolution if possible.
Not it doing either will likely result in a good deal of us returning our phones or asking for a return after we've all been placated for weeks and not able to return after 14 days. Not really a fair option for Verizon customers locked in to a broken phone.

Hello everyone. I have found a permanent solution to this problem and would like everyone to share it with other boards and ppl they kNow. This worked for me to fix the 3G and slow speeds issue. I tested it for 4 days and it has been working. I put multiple solutions together that I have found online and did them all in one.
Log it into your Verizon account
go to plans and turn off hd voice
if your not already enrolled in Apple beta program do so here Apple Beta Software Program
update to to the latest beta iOS which is 10.1.
After the update is complete go to settings>reset>reset network settings
once all that's complete and your phone is refreshed, go back and turn on hd voice with Verizon.
Amd once more reset reset the network settings.
So this this method worked for me. My phone stays on LTE now. And my speeds are 130+Mbps download. I would honestly say, if this issue doesn't help, there is a hardware problem and u need to go to the genius At Apple Store, tell them your having a issue with your phone getting stuck in no service and 3G and you would like a replacement under apples 12 month warranty policy. Be nice about it and most of the time they will replace it.
Hope it helps and everyone has a good day.
