I just upgraded to the iPhone 7 and my reception is awful.
I get no signal where on my iPhone 6 I had a good signal.
I discovered if I reboot, I get the signal again but if driving I lose the signal again. But again a reboot restores the signal.
This is terrible service.

The Verizon store fixed my issue.
In Settings>Cellular make sure Cellular Data is on. Under Cellular Data Options click to turn Roaming on and make sure Enable LTE is set only to Data and Roaming is Voice Only

Just got off chat with Verizon. Verizon and Apple have known about this issue from the beginning and engineers from both Verizon and Apple are working on it with no set fix date. I am concerned because I just switched to Verizon and have only 2 days left before I can cancel free of any charges. As others have said my iphone 7 is crap right now due to the reception issue.

I'm in the same boat. I'm not new to Verizon or the iPhone but I'm also only a week out from being able to return my device and not even wanting to risk dropping or scuffing it until I'm sure I won't have to toss it aside and use my old Note 4. Verizon is pretty reliable although I hate their bloatware which really doesn't exist on iPhone's.
Some will say "install the beta patch" which for some works. But, I don't want to be on beta. I've been there and it's problematic eventually. You end up getting a beta release that can be more broken than without it.
I'll give them a few days. There's nothing in the iPhone 7 that blows me away this year. Nothing different from the previous two. So it's easy for me to take it back without any doubt. It's just a phone. Not worth $900 for less of a phone than the 6s which sporadically works.

Where is the option to turn of the HD voice on the Verizon web site? I don't see where there is an option on the web site. I want to try your fix.

hello derek
what is the return policy on the phone?
my new iPhone 7 plus has no reception in my home nor meighborhood; but my iphone 6 and friends iphone 5s all work properly.
i need this phone for business calls, and for emergency phone calls. Neither of which I can perform now. Thus the phone has no value to me.

We know its important to have a working phone for personal and business Sulzmatt . I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this type of service on this awesome phone. We will do our best to help with a resolution.
Our return policy is 14-days from the date of purchase to return the phone for a full refund as long as there is no damage. If you're past the 14-day return period, we replace the phone with a certified like new phone of the same model. We will also perform trouble-shooting to try and fix the issue without having to replace it. Lets get started! What is your zip code where the issues occur? Are you there any issues with data? Are calls dropping or not connecting at all?

I have had the same issue. Although I upgraded from a 5s.
Prior to my upgrade as well as other members of my family with iphone 6 and iphone 6s we all had perfect connection to LTE network in our house.
Now with my iphone 7 "Up"grade (if you could call it that)...my signal is at one bar or two bars at several spots in the home and it struggles to even get on the 3G network let alone the LTE.
I've been on Verizon tech support and upgraded my iOs, I've also modified some settings but still getting poor signal.
I've even had a bunch of dropped calls in the past week. I had to remember back 6-8 years when I last had a dropped call....
Verizon and Apple need to fix this and fix this fast.....not only will they lose my phone contract, but all of the members of my family....could switch us all to sprint or at&t...

This is an issue that has gone on for almost a month now. If it was an easy fixed, it would have been patched in days. There must be a serious issue with the iPhone 7 that can not be quickly resolved. If it's hardware, you are looking at a massive exchange where people will wait months for a replacement. My guess is if they can't fix it, they will disable VoLTE for the iPhone 7, instead of doing exchanges. I will not be upgrading to the 7 until this is fixed.

They definitely won't recall anything, no matter how broken it is. Doing so would make them appear similar to the Note 7 and they'd rather save face to the public.
My my guess is there will be a slow release of an Apple iOS rollout that fixes several issues after beta testing multiple releases. So hang in there for a while or return that bad boy if possible. I have to do so today as I used to use my phone for business and now, I dont take calls as I know they'll drop.
Another thing I've noticed is that spelling and grammar correction are horrible.
The he only thing Apple and Verizon recognize is $$$. Remove that and it'll get priority at some point. 🙂

Btw. I typed that reply from my phone so if anything is poorly spelled or repeated, that's my iPhone working its magic. Lol.

I also am having this issue. My new Iphone 7 will sometimes just suddenly go to 3G and most of time time I never get above 2 bars. I am very concerned because I know they moved the antennas on this phone so I am wondering if this is a hardware issue that can't be resolved.
To the person that posted about your fix by signing in the Verizon account and turning of the voice HD, where is this option on the Verizon Wireless web site? I don't see this option. I have already set my phone to allow LTE only on data.
Anyone else have any success correcting this problem? I am getting nervous.

I realize that this is an old thread, but had anyone actually had a satisfactory resolution with this? My wife and I have had to turn off Voice over LTE to be able to make calls despite being on the latest updates and carrier settings.

I took my iPhone to the nearest Verizon store. The guy said I needed to update the iOS. I waited about 30 min for him to update the iPhone and don't know if he updated just the iOS or more than that. But after that visit, I have not had any problems.

Same issue here. ZIP code: 97124
Voice:
I got "No Service" in conference room. Only one dot or two dots if I move to the window. Just switched from ATT to VZW and this is the 1st day I'm using it in office. I have to be very lucky to make a phone call if there is only one dot on my brand-new iphone7+.
LTE:
No LTE inside building. 3G is the best case and sometime "1x", which might be 2G per google search.
Overall, this is VERY disappointing comparing to my past experience with ATT wireless.

qiwang2014, obtaining a signal indoors can be tricky. Rest assured we will give you our best to provide the best possible service. Our first step would be to spot check that the device is up to date software-wise. Here's how: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204204
Additionally ensure that VoLTE is on too: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203078
Do you know of co-workers with Verizon Wireless, what is there service like compared to yours?

I'm having the same issues. Sadly I just switched to Verizon so this has been a horrible experience that really makes me wish I had stayed with AT&T. Others in my house have Verizon and have LTE (they have iPhone 6) but I have 1X or 3G at the most with my iPhone 7. It drops service constantly and the call quality is a joke. The internet speed is so slow that it is not usable and if you want to stream any kind of video then you better like watching a spinning circle because that's all you're going to get. This is obviously not an isolated issue so at what point will Verizon or Apple make the fix? The worst part is this issue was happening before I bought my phone and the issue was never mentioned by Verizon. Very deceiving if you ask me.

We want to welcome you to our family, WHICLI2. I want to make sure that all your issues are addressed so you can be happy that you made the switch to Verizon Wireless. Do you have HD Calling enabled? If so have you tried turning it off? http://vz.to/2gHXcby
Do you get better service outside of your home? Do you have WiFi?
